Prototyping Workshop
Our Newcastle workshop is where we create and develop prototypes and test rigs. Depending on your project requirement, prototypes can range from handmade mock-ups in cardboard or foam to test aesthetics, ergonomic shape and structure, through to full pre-production prototypes made with precision 3D printed parts, injection moulded or CNC machined components. We can also install fully functional electronics giving prototypes the appearance and functionality of the final product. These precision prototypes are often used for photo shoots, soft launches to test market feedback and to help raise investment or crowd funding prior to manufacture.
Our workshop consists of traditional machinery to work with wood, metals, plastics and more contemporary methods such as 3D printers, CNC milling machines and laser cutters. We also use the latest design and engineering Industry recognised software making the transition from prototype to manufacture more efficient. In addition to our own workshop capability, we have a diverse network of expert industry suppliers should any specialist components exceed our in-house capabilities.
